Make an Impact at RSM UK – Tax
Join our consulting team on a 12-month paid placement as part of your sandwich degree course and gain hands-on experience in tax.
A career in tax is about more than just becoming a tax adviser; you’ll be part of Team Tax, diving into the intricate world of tax laws, both in the UK and internationally, applying them into real-life solutions for our clients, helping clients save money, mitigate tax risks, navigate reporting requirements and create value.
You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with clients, immersing yourself in their unique financial world, uncovering the secrets behind family wealth, how it’s built, nurtured, and passed down to future generations. For companies, you’ll explore how they can maximize post-tax profits, harness tax incentives, expand their global reach, and plan a seamless tax-efficient exit. Each client interaction is a chance to make a real impact.
Our business areas within Team Tax include VAT/Indirect Tax, Employer Solutions, Private Client Services, Corporate Tax, Innovation and Creative Sector Reliefs, Transfer Pricing, Capital Allowances, and Tax Investigations.

What we are looking for:
To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience will include:
* A minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification; or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level) and a predicted/obtained honours degree.
* A team-oriented mindset, curiosity about business operations, and the interplay between taxation, personal wealth, and financial goals.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Comfort with numbers, an analytical mindset, and an interest in tax legislation.
* Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.
* Please note, RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels, or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
