Job Title
A Test Technician is required by an established global engineering company in Poole to expand their team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect and test electronic assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards.
* Inspect and test electrical sub-assemblies to IPC-A-620 standards.
* Inspect and test electro-mechanical sub-assemblies to supplied drawings.
* Provide test and product support for production activities with a hands-on approach, including initial commissioning, factory, and site acceptance tests.
* Work with the Test and Electronics Team to manage proprietary test equipment calibration.
* Accurately complete documentation.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Assist with after-sales warranty and repair, and carry out full surveys and report on returned customer equipment.
* Work with the Test and Electronics Team and Engineering to design, manufacture, and maintain in-house test equipment.
* Maintain QA records, including calibration of test equipment, soldering irons, and ESD control measures.
* Control and maintenance of Portable appliance testing.
* Assist the training of new test technicians on all products and mentor work experience students.

Personnel Requirements:
* SC clearance.
* Test and fault-finding to component level.
* Full understanding of electronic devices and circuit theory - Analogue and Digital.
* Ability to solder in accordance with IPC certification standards.
* Ability to read technical drawings.
* Experience in manufacturing in a similar demanding industry.
* Ability to combine existing knowledge with new impacts for positive changes combined with good communication skills.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
