Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year annualised hours. 855 full time equivalent annual teaching hours. We would also actively consider applications for part time and hourly paid contracts.
Salary: In the range of £30,581 - £36,453 per annum (Dependent on skills, experience and qualifications)

The Team
This creative and innovative team works with students within vocational areas. We take a highly inclusive approach to enable students to thrive and progress in English programmes ranging from Literacy and Entry Level Functional Skills to GCSE English Language and A Level Language and Literature in tandem with their main course.
The Role
The purpose of this role is to plan and teach on agreed programmes (GCSE, Functional Skills, literacy and, potentially, A Levels) and to contribute to their continued development.
We have an opportunity for a teacher who is passionately committed to working with young people to help them succeed in English working alongside our dynamic team. If you have experience of working with young people, have a degree in an English related subject but do not hold a teaching qualification then we would still be happy to discuss the post with you and to offer teacher training to the right candidate.

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:
* A passionate commitment to helping young people develop the skills they need to succeed in English.
* An innovative and creative approach to meeting students’ needs.
* A demonstrable ability to proactively contribute to the values and activities of the English team.
* Knowledge of the GCSE English Language specification
* A track record of good or outstanding teaching (if experienced)
* The ability to work across teaching teams within the college.
