TP Tutors are looking for highly experienced teachers with QTS to deliver fun and creative 1:1 sessions to children with SEN.
Hours per week: Due to demand for our services, we request that you have at least 10 hours available per week, including daytime during Monday to Friday. You will be able to work flexibly around your own schedule.
Rates of pay: £20-£30 per hour
To become a Tutor at TP-Tutors, you will need:
QTS;
* At least 10 hours of daytime availability, Monday to Friday; (ideally more due to demand);
* At least 5 years’ experience teaching and assessing English and/or Maths and/or Science in primary and/or secondary schools;
* At least 5 years’ experience working with SEN special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, ADD, PDA, dysgraphia, and global developmental delay;
* At least 2 years’ experience working with children who have experienced trauma;
* Additional trauma-informed training;
* A proven record of being able to heighten pupil’s confidence, self-esteem and love of learning;
* 100% passion for education, commitment, reliability and honesty;
* To creatively apply differentiated techniques to planning and teaching;
* Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills;
* Incredible patience;
* An excellent knowledge of different learning styles and how to use these;
* The ability to deal with possible behaviour issues;
* The ability to work flexibly and attend meetings outside hours if necessary;
* To be a team-worker;
* A valid enhanced DBS check on the update service;
* A willingness to apply for public liability and professional indemnity insurance;
* Register to work as self-employed.
You will need to:
* Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with students’ individual needs;
Assess and monitor students’ work and feedback to parents and other professionals/ individuals;
* Report and assess student behaviour;
* Record students’ progress and provide grades and written feedback;
* Deliver tailored teaching activities to students on a one-to-one basis;
* Help students that you support engage in learning;
* Support and assess the social and emotional development of students, reporting any issues as necessary;
* Supervise student safety;
* Any other tasks requested by your client/s.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
