Start Date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory employment checks) We are seeking an encouraging and motivated Buddy to support Aisha, born in 2007, and lives at home with her parents. she is a delightful young lady who enjoys a range of activities like you tube videos on dancing and make-up, sewing, tennis, swimming, shopping, going to the cinema and theatre, going for coffee and is keen to start some physical activities such as yoga or a rebound class. Aisha has Cerebral Palsy which principally affects her right upper limb, and does present with cognitive delay which seems quite subtle when you first meet her. She is independently mobile and communicates verbally. Aisha does suffer with anxiety. Your role will be to support Aisha with her activities and get involved with Yoga or a Rebound class. Supervising and supporting to access the community to ensure she is kept safe at all times and to reduce her anxiety to assist with navigating social situations. Aisha can have some communication difficulties which affects her socially and emotionally, so support to provide companionship, promote self-esteem, confidence and encourage social and leisure activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person to join a dedicated home care team and develop existing skills and support this very special young lady.
