Job summary This role will be to assist in the provision of an efficient, responsive, flexible and effective Estates Maintenance service to the Maidstone Hospital site as part of the Estates Department team. The shift pattern is - 2 x 12Hr Days, 2 x 12Hr Nights then 4 days off. You will work with minimal supervision, providing maintenance, repairs and replacement services as necessary to the Plumbing System, Drainage including Macerators. And the willingness to learn and attended to other trade issues such as Locks, Nurse Call systems, Fire alarm activations. You will undertake both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmed to help prolong the life expectancy of the Plumbing drainage and ward macerators. Main duties of the job To work on a wide range of hospital plumbing systems and waste drainage. Out of hours to be i.e. Nights and Weekends to be able to deal with more multi skilled - issues such as Nurse call systems, Fire alarm activations, broken locks and similar. On the job training will be given and you will be supported by our "Out of hours" office on call technical staff, 7 days a week. On site familiarisation will begin on "Day's" only for up to 3 months to allow you to learn the site and systems before going onto the shift pattern.
