Security Architect Consultant - UK Citizen - SC clearance eligibility
Job Description:
We are seeking talented and experienced Security Architect Consultants. The ideal candidates will have a strong consulting background and at least 3 years of experience in the field of information security. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining secure systems and applications, as well as providing expert advice on security best practices to various customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design robust security architectures for IT projects.
2. Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines.
3. Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
4. Identify integration issues and develop solutions to these issues.
5. Ensure the architecture and security systems align with the business’s goals and requirements.
6. Research, design, and advocate new technologies, architectures, and security products.
7. Ensure compliance with changing laws and applicable regulations.
8. Participate in incident response and forensic investigations.
9. Work with IT departments and members of the information security team to design, implement, manage, and report on the effectiveness of security controls.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in security management or a related role.
3. Experience in computer coding and reviewing code in languages such as C, C++, Java, PHP, or ASP.
4. Experience building security architecture aligned with business requirements.
5. Strong knowledge of technical risk analysis, assessment, and mitigation.
6. Familiarity with compliance requirements and standards.
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts in a non-technical language.
8. Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CCNA are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in a relevant security or consulting discipline.
2. Project management qualifications, such as Prince 2, APM, or PMP.
3. SC Clearance or eligible to obtain SC clearance.
