The role:
We are looking for a Credit Risk Manager to join the team. This role will protect the value of Sonovate, by mitigating Credit Risk to the business. The role is responsible for the identification, assessment, mitigation, management and reporting of Credit Risk.
What does success look like in this role?
* Comprehensive analysis of the Credit Risk exposure of Sonovate, with relevant escalation of key information to stakeholders.
* Processing of credit applications and ensuring appropriate insurance is in place to mitigate risk to Sonovate.
* Timely decisions made on new business – enabling the rapid agile brand that Sonovate stands for.
* Consider Credit Risk initiatives that could enhance the risk/reward balance of Credit Risk at Sonovate.
Responsibilities:
* Analyse relevant client, credit-related information to assess risk and follow defined risk mitigations techniques as defined in Sonovate’s Credit Risk Policy.
* Liaise closely with credit broker in order to ensure more complicated applications are handled correctly to achieve the best outcome.
* Effective feedback on credit limit requests, progress and issues to stakeholders.
* Ensure appropriate renewal of limits, including tracking of existing limits and timely renewal before expiry.
* Reporting to key stakeholders on credit risk, including but not limited to volumes, applications, changes, uninsured exposures, concerns and trends.
* Assist in the ongoing monitoring and assurance efforts of the function.
* Working with the business to identify and mitigate any credit risk issues, leading to a more robust control environment.
* Assist in maintaining credit risk policies, procedures and monitoring processes.
* Own and administer appropriate documentation storage of credit risk information.
* Identification of process enhancements to assist in the continuous evolution of Sonovate.
Experience & Key Skills:
* A good level of understanding of working in Credit Risk and Financial Services environment.
* Experience in a Financial Services and/or Credit Risk function.
* Experience of working with credit insurance.
* Ability to collaborate and manage own workload.
* Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Methodical and structured to managing change.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Escalates appropriately without delay.
* Take ownership and responsibility for own work.
* Constructive challenge and enhancements of existing processes.
* Numerate qualification desired.
