Responsibilities
:
1. Identifying test criteria and developing test scripts from low level documentation,
2. Identifying test criteria and developing test scripts to support monthly BAU patching cycles (WSUS AV),
3. Identifying test criteria and developing test scripts to support change as directed by Programme Change Review Boards,
4. Developing new Test Scripts for Central Services,
5. Developing and mature Regression Packs in support of monthly testing cycles,
6. Weekly Status Reporting,
7. Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results,
8. Create logs to document testing phases and defects,
9. Report bugs and errors to relevant programme teams,
10. Help troubleshoot issues,
11. Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing as required,
12. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle,
13. Ensure all Test artefacts are consistent and of the highest quality.
Experience (expected 3 years)
14. Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester/ Live service Tester or similar role,
15. Proven experience in performing functional, non-functional and regression testing of MS windows server products in complex Enterprise environments,
16. Experienced in Black Box Testing | White Box Testing | SIT | SAT | UAT | OAT,
17. Experienced in manual, automation and test management tools- e.g. HP Quality Centre, ALM, JIRA, Test Rails,
18. Experience with documenting test procedures, preparing test documentation including test plans, test scripts, evidence collection, defect reporting.
Essential Skills :
19. Well versed with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) testing concepts, Testing methodologies and techniques
20. Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
21. Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
22. Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. Test Rails)
23. Attention to detail
24. Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
25. Strong organisational skills
26. Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences
27. Ability to respond to changing project time scales and prioritise work accordingly
28. SC Clearance is a minimum

29. Knowledge of or experience of military ICT systems
30. ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester Advanced Level - Test Analyst
31. ISTQB-ISEB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)
32. MCSA Microsoft Certified Server Associate Windows Servers 2012R2/2016
33. VMWare Certified Practitioner (VCP)
34. Experience of Confluence/Jira & Remedy. Working within Agile methodologies.
