Whether you are an experienced teacher, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is an excellent opportunity to teach Geography at KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach A-Level depending on experience. Your Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring alignment with the curriculum. • Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, incorporating a variety of teaching methods and resources. • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development. • Foster a deep understanding of geographical concepts, including physical geography, human geography, environmental issues, and global perspectives. • Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills by encouraging students to analyse and evaluate geographical data and case studies. • Incorporate current events and real-world applications into lessons to connect geographical theory with practical, real-life situations. • Support students in developing independent research skills through project-based learning, fieldwork, and use of geographical tools and technologies. • Collaborate with colleagues within the Humanities department to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities and share best practices. • Contribute to the co-curricular program by organizing field trips, geography clubs, or other activities that enhance students’ learning experiences. • Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures. • Support students' well-being by providing guidance and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and cooperation. • Stay up-to-date with developments in Geography education, attending training, and incorporating new teaching strategies, resources, and technologies.
