Credit Controller
Location: Watford
Salary: £30, - £35,
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a new opportunity to showcase your skills and join a dynamic team? We are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join our client's finance department in Watford.
Our client, a well-established organisation, is in need of a talented individual to ensure the smooth flow of credit control processes. As a Credit Controller, you will work closely with our client's Finance Director and collaborate with their team to manage credit control operations efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Chase overdue invoices multiple times a week, using various communication methods like email, phone calls, and teams meetings
2. Coordinate with different departments within our client's organisation and customers to assist with the goods receipt process
3. Post and allocate customer receipts to Sage Intacct across multiple currencies
4. Upload customer invoices into Sage Intacct for accurate record-keeping
5. Handle customer credit application forms and address queries, requests for statements, and reconciliations
6. Raise and allocate customer credit notes, ensuring accurate records
7. Amend customer credit limits as necessary to optimise credit control
8. Perform debtors reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
9. Provide input in weekly debtors meetings with key management to track and manage outstanding debts
10. Maintain daily funds received and availability spreadsheets for financial visibility
11. Update exchange rates in the internal sales programme for accurate currency conversions
12. Assist the purchase ledger department with holiday cover and workload when required to ensure smooth operations
13. Facilitate the management and reconciliation of invoice discounting ledgers for financial accuracy
14. Carry out general admin tasks such as scanning and filing documents for efficient record-keeping ️

Requirements:
19. Previous experience in credit control or an accounts/finance based role
20. Strong communication skills to effectively chase overdue invoices and address customer queries ️
21. Proficiency in using financial software and systems, such as Sage Intacct, is advantageous
22. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills for accurate record-keeping
23. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and coordinate with various departments
24. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations
