T he RoleThe Head of Practice is a senior role with both functional and business responsibilities. The role reports directly to the Managing Director and works collaboratively with other members of the Senior Management Team. The Head of Practice is responsible for leading and driving the direction and outcome of Infinity’s consulting practice aligned with the company’s strategic dir ection. What skills and working characteristics should this perso n have? Experience dealing with C-level stakeholders and direct customer inter actions.Proven ability to establish and maintain credibility with senior stakeholders (including clients, delivery partners and internally within the business), excellent influencing skills to build and maintain relationships and work collaboratively, driving process improvement and success.Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders within the organization and in the client’s organization and to serve as an expert representing Infinity’s delivery capab ilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.Experience of negotiating, and managing within, complex contractual arran gements.Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, team building, decision-making, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality and listen to ideas and understand the information presented verbally or in writing.Conform to the highest standards of conduct and ethics, including sound honesty and in tegrity.A high degree of flexibility, creativity, innovation, and critical t hinking.Excellent planning and organisation skills at both a strategic and operational level to deliver work to agreed timescales and st andards.Experience of managing large teams, providing coaching and excellent line management and support to direct reports.Excellent self-management skills to work independently, using own initiative and being flexible and ad aptable.Understanding and experience of performance monitoring and reporting on impact of act ivities.Good decision-making skills and confident in making strategic and operational de cisions. As a Head of Practice, you’ll be responsi ble for: Ensure the optimal utilisation of the Infinity’s various practice r esources.Oversee and implement workforce management plans, ensuring that resource capacity and skills are aligned to defined business need and forecas t demand.Foster a culture of high performance and ex cellence.Engage and motivate the e mployees.Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the p ractices.Work closely with the senior management team to identify potential new opportunities for improvement in process or potential new products.Support the activities of the Sales team in cross-selling of identified services into existing and new c ustomers.Support practice consulting inputs into peer reviews and presales ac tivities.Provide guidance and supervision to team members as consulting activities are car ried out.Keep abreast of internal and external developments and respond acc ordingly.To embody our mission, values and key performance metric of optimal employee en gagement.Work collaboratively across teams, departments, and clients.Be open to change and respond flexibly and quickly to the changi ng world.Demonstrate organisational awareness and see the bigger picture while working towards ob jectives.Communicate effectively, ensuring messages are understood and that you strive to understan d others.
