An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Manager who will assist the Home Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the home, ensuring that our residents are provided with the highest possible standards of care according to their individual needs.
The role of Deputy Manager requires an individual with experience in assisting the Home Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care for residents, compliance with legislation and standards, and standing in for the Home Manager when needed. The ideal candidate should have previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a similar setting, demonstrate strong leadership qualities, possess a hands-on approach to care, be forward-thinking, and have a good understanding of care standards legislation, including Fundamental Standards.

Key requirements for the Deputy Manager role:
6. Relevant professional qualification – (minimum NVQ/Diploma L3)
7. Previous management/supervisory experience within a residential care home setting
8. Excellent written and oral communication skills
9. Strong IT skills
10. Good knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards
11. Strong understanding of the principles of Person-Centered Care
12. Recent experience and knowledge of dementia care
13. Proven ability to lead, supervise, motivate and develop a team of staff
14. Robust organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
15. Excellent communication skills with residents, families, stakeholders and other relevant bodies
16. Evidence of recent management and administration of medication competency
17. A flexible approach to working hours
