This is a great opportunity to join our state of the art laboratory, working within Eurofins Food Testing Chemistry. The purpose of this role is to complete the registration of samples and co-ordinate these through the relevant business unit.
Please note this is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:30 till 16:30.
Use Elims (laboratory computer system) to scan in samples.
Understand the differences between the three business units and co-ordinate registrations of the testing into the correct business unit.
Ensure that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained.
Provide a high level of internal and external customer care. Liaise with customers about sample intake when required.
Meet and greet customers, couriers or drivers when they are delivering or collecting samples.
Maintain turnaround time at 100%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved, by registering samples in a timely fashion.
Responsible for ensuring that UK health and safety legislation is maintained and helping to ensure that the working environment is kept in a clean and tidy.
Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.
To assist through operating best practice in order to meet the requirements of the UKAS accreditation standard.
To partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company Standard.
Comply with all relevant Health, Safety and Security Regulations.
Read and comply with Company rules, procedures, agreements and any notices displayed by the Company throughout your location.
Qualifications
GCSE in Maths, English, Chemistry or Biology, or equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Good laboratory skills and practices
Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook
