SENCo Opportunity at a Specialist Independent School in South Gloucestershire

We are working on behalf of an independent specialist day school in South Gloucestershire that provides exceptional education for a diverse group of pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, co-existing ADHD, speech, language, and communication difficulties, and attachment disorders.
The school is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a nurturing and forward-thinking environment where creativity and collaboration are encouraged to meet the unique needs of every child.
As SENCo, you will be pivotal in:
* Developing and implementing effective strategies to support students with additional needs.
* Collaborating with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure every pupil achieves their full potential.
* Leading and managing the provision for SEN, offering advice, training, and guidance to colleagues.
* Coordinating and monitoring Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure high-quality, personalized support.
The Successful Candidate will have:
* Hold a SENCo accreditation or is working towards it.
* A strong understanding of SEMH, ADHD, and related needs.
* Exceptional communication and teamwork skills with leadership experience.
* A passion for providing inclusive education tailored to individual needs.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, specialist educational setting.
