Mechanical Technician Required for Oil & Gas Client in Portsmouth.
A skilled technician with a passion for safety and problem-solving is needed to join our client's dynamic team based in Portsmouth.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on individual with excellent troubleshooting skills, able to work efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute maintenance schedules, ensuring precision and efficiency.
* Identify and report defects, working closely with the Depot Engineer to resolve issues promptly.
* Collaborate with the Depot Engineer to maintain accurate PPM records, meeting deadlines without compromise.
* Prepare work areas for depot, system, and component maintenance, setting the stage for success.
* Utilise diagnostic skills to pinpoint faults in complex systems.
* Translate technical drawings, P&IDs, and isometric diagrams into practical solutions.
* Possess a thorough understanding of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Risk Assessments (RAMs), and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
Requirements:
* Certified Mechanical Technician with qualifications in a recognised Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent.
* Experience working with rotating and static equipment, including tanks, pumps, valves, and pipework.
* Medically fit to work in confined spaces, with supplied breathing equipment.
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills and professionalism.
* Tech-savvy, able to navigate computer records and keep paperwork accurate and timely.
Salary and Benefits:
£32-£35K per annum, 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and 12% Employer Pension.
