Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Integrity/NDT Group Leader to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will lead the Structural Integrity and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) team, ensuring that all components meet the required safety and performance standards. Your key focus will be on developing best practices, overseeing inspections, and implementing NDT methods. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. What You Will Be Doing:
1. Lead and manage the Structural Integrity/NDT team, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
2. Develop and implement NDT methods and inspection processes to ensure the highest level of safety and integrity in all components.
3. Lead audits and reviews to ensure structural integrity guidelines are followed, both internally and with external suppliers.
4. Conduct training and provide mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
5. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate structural integrity practices in the design and production processes.
6. Coordinate and perform inspections and tests, ensuring all protocols and documentation are maintained accurately.
7. Create and ensure proper documentation of all NDT activities, including inspection results, certifications, and quality control records.
8. Provide support to the Race Team at all events with proficient and efficient NDT capabilities.
9. Stay updated on industry standards, advances in structural integrity assessment, and NDT technologies.
10. Report on team performance and quality metrics, driving initiatives for improvement.
11. Manage equipment and resources, ensuring their availability and optimal function for inspections.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience in structural integrity assessment and NDT within a motorsport or aerospace environment.
2. Strong understanding of NDT methods (e.g., Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Testing, Eddy Current Testing).
3. Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
4. Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
5. Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to structural integrity and NDT.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Experience with inspection tools and equipment used for NDT.
9. Computer proficient, including experience with MS Office Suite and report generation software.
10. Flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to changing requirements or conditions.
