Service Desk Advisor – Fixed Term Contract
Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm
£25,000 per annum increasing to £26,000 after probation
Our client, who is part of a global organisation, is seeking an experienced and dedicated new member of staff in the role of Service Desk Advisor on a fixed term contract for up to 9 months.
The overall purpose of the role is to work as part of a team to provide high quality day-to-day support to enable the effective operation of their customer service desk.
Duties to include:
1. Answer all incoming calls.
2. Process and update requests from the client base, internal personnel, and suppliers via telephone, fax, e-mail, or web.
3. Accurately process reactive, planned, and statutory compliance tasks.
4. Action reactive requests from our client base and log all requests on in-house computer systems.
5. Liaise with site-based engineers and field-based facility managers to action requests as necessary.
6. Liaise with sub-contractors to attend site to repair faults and raise appropriate purchase orders as required.
7. Ensure that timeframes are adhered to in relation to service level agreements.
8. Be responsible for own suite of clients and ensure that all operational and financial procedures are adhered to.
Candidates suitable for this role will:
1. Be proficient in Microsoft Office Information Technology software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is essential.
2. Any previous experience working with an internal database would be advantageous.
It is essential for the right candidate to:
1. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
2. Be organised and able to multi-task.
3. Be able to use time as a valuable resource and manage own time to achieve required outcomes.
4. Be able to work under pressure.
5. Have a minimum of one year of experience working in a help desk environment.
6. Have working experience in a customer-focused setting.
