Year 6 teacher required for a vibrant and welcoming Primary School school situated in Paignton, Devon. The school is dedicated to providing excellent education and fostering a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. The right teacher should be passionate and dedicated KS2 teacher available for a September start.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of Year 6 pupils.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
* Prepare students for their transition to secondary education, ensuring they meet end-of-year expectations.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and a love for learning.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement the Year 6 curriculum.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attainment.
* Engage with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant teaching degree.
* Proven experience teaching at the primary level, ideally with Year 6.
* Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and the ethos of the school.
