Renishaw has a Component Engineering Technician opportunity to work within the Component Engineering team. The position reports to the Component Engineering Manager and offers an interesting variety of work - including but not limited to - creating new and updating established parts on our Teamcenter database; processing of Material Registration Forms (MRF); managing manufacturers product obsolescence notifications and assisting the Product Safety Team by updating regulatory compliance documents. Training will be provided, and for the right candidate, this role provides an opportunity for progression to Component Engineer. Responsibilities Support the Component Engineering team with their key tasks. Maintain Teamcenter and MRF databases. Add and update Mechanical Parts to our parts database. Provide engineering advice and support to all divisions. Review and update regulatory compliance documents. Development of Teamcenter classification tool to support CE function. Help and develop new and existing procedures. Key requirements Hold a Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent. Ability to understand and interpret engineering documentation and datasheets. Computer literate (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Able to work independently. Self-motivated and proactive. Must be able to work as part of a small team. Good communication skills.
