TnS Introduction:

The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
About the team:
The AI Data Service and Operations (ADSO) team is responsible for providing safety and non-safety data annotation services and search operation services for all of the company's international products, which can also help international products build their own data ecological security.
About the role:
As a Business Analyst, you will work with stakeholders across the globe, managing the cost management infrastructure within the AI Data Service and Operations team and delivering cost insights to leadership to drive cost optimisation decisions.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to everyday life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular analysis to support cost management objectives, such as budget analysis, business cost Root Cause Analysis (RCA), cost savings, etc.
2. Engage with stakeholders to deeply understand the business requirements of data labeling projects and have a strong sense of the cost implications.
3. Drive process improvements to the end-to-end cost lifecycle, e.g., budgeting, cost allocation processes and support developing the cost infrastructure such as iterating on the cost management metrics.
4. Prepare high quality cost reports, deliver presentations tailored to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and drive cost optimisation conversations with the operations teams.
Qualifications
Minimal Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or other relevant field.
2. Minimum 5 years experience in driving operations cost efficiency or financial analysis, preferably for large-scale operations.
3. Solid analytical skillset and business acumen, with the ability to connect business landscape to cost changes.
4. Skills in verbal and written communication across both technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Ability to work independently and exercise maturity in handling sensitive data.
6. Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Preferred Qualifications
1. Expertise in utilizing other data analysis tools is an advantage.
2. Experience in labeling / data annotation / AI data operations.
3. Solid Stakeholder management skills and communication/ interpersonal skills.
4. Proven experience in a BPO / Social Media / Call center environment is an advantage.
5. Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
6. Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
