We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer to join our team in Solihull.
As an Electronics Engineer at Rolls-Royce, you will play a key role in our civil and defence aerospace and marine business by participating in a team who design, develop & maintain Control & Monitoring Units for Rolls-Royce applications.

What you will be doing:
Support the research & development, design, development, testing, verification, qualification, and support for electronic units. Participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the activities considered during the life cycle of an electrical product are carried out in a consistent and appropriate manner.
1. Deliver electronic design & development activities in support of a control and instrumentation electronic unit.
2. Elicit and capture the high-level customer requirements for an electronic unit, being able to work in parallel and with some degree of uncertainty.
3. Ensure methods employed in the product design and developments are technically sound and appropriate for the project being undertaken and to company processes.
4. Activities range from creation of detailed specifications, conceptual design, detailed design and definition, integration of the system and unit verification and qualification, ensuring that detailed requirements are achieved, and critical safety hazards identified are mitigated.

For this role you will need to demonstrate understanding of the applicable health and safety standards and we are looking for someone who is/has:
1. Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
2. Experience in an Electronics Engineering role.
3. Electronics speciality could include, Analogue Design, Digital Design, Verification tools, rules and methods, Power Supply Design or EMC.
4. Working knowledge of domain plant and platform interfaces, component technology and behaviour during normal and abnormal operation, verification vehicles, electronic design, system architecture, development process constraints.
5. A working appreciation of associated engineering disciplines; University degree or equivalent in Electronics or equivalent.
