The University of Liverpool is offering a part time opportunity for a coach who is passionate about rowing and is seeking to continue our drive for excellence by working closely with the Rowing Club committee, GB Rowing, our in house Performance Services team and Sport Liverpool staff.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to improving performance and developing rowing at all levels. Ideally you will have experience or empathy of working within a student environment. This role would suit both experienced and new coaches alike. We are looking to recruit someone who aligns with our clubs goals and values and provides a great opportunity for personal achievements and development.
The University of Liverpool has had great success in recent years in the development of beginner rowers, with our learn to row programme being highly regarded within the sector. The Rowing club gained Performance status in 2022 to assist in the development of this program and to create the next generation of Olympic Talent.

Role Requirements
•To lead and deliver structured coaching sessions to the senior male and female club members at the University.
•To work with the captains to select crews.
•To work with the captains to set land and water training plans.
•To create an annual plan with aims and objectives for club members including races to be attended.
•To provide feedback on the development of club members.
•To assist in the recruitment of club members.
•To be committed to professional development
Required Qualifications/Experience
•UKCC Level 2 (or equivalent)
•First aid certificate
•Experience of working at a high level with the 18-24 year age group is desirable.
Salary
•Dependant on experience and will be discussed at initial interview.
Training Times•Times to be agreed with the club
•8 hours per week (split over Wednesdays and weekends) Race cover at agreed BUCS events
