Main duties of the job The dietetic team sits within a wider therapy team, including physiotherapy and occupational therapy staff. The dietetic team has 14 dietitians, 4 dietetic assistants and 1 dietetic apprentice. The dietetic team is divided into sub-teams depending on speciality and paediatrics is also part of the acute service. Band 5 Dietitians have the opportunity to participate in rotational training between acute medicine / frailty, general medicine / gastroenterology / oncology, surgical / critical care and paediatrics. The post holder will undertake rotation supervision, learning about different medical and surgical conditions to enhance learning. Other responsibilities may include attending and actively contributing at MDT meetings and board rounds to discuss patient cases.
