Waking Night Female Support Worker Location: Normanton Salary: £13 per hour – £14 per hour We are looking a compassionate and dedicated Female Support Worker for an adults service with learning disabilities, complex physical support needs, and autism covering waking nights. Key Responsibilities: Develop warm, trusting relationships with service users to understand and support their needs. Respect privacy and dignity at all times. Provide flexible support as per Individual Support Plans, including personal care. Assist in managing tenancies, ensuring the safety, hygiene, and comfort of homes. Encourage service users to build self-esteem, make choices, and develop independence. Support service users in budgeting, managing finances, and maximising their income. Help service users access social, leisure, education, and work activities. Promote a healthy lifestyle and support physical and mental health needs. Ensure compliance with prescribed medication and report any concerns. Maintain accurate records and contribute to service user reviews. Essential Qualifications and Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team and independently. Experience with physical sensory disabilities and dysphagia support needs. Strong interpersonal skills and a common-sense approach to problem-solving. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
