Fully onsite role in Larne, Northern Ireland. £20.78 per hour (PAYE) £27.27 per hour (Umbrella) About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join the Global Solutions Engineering Electrical Design Team in Larne. The Global Solutions Engineering Group specialises in designing custom-built products, supporting new product development, technical operations, and ensuring high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Interpret consultant drawings and specifications. Develop new electrical products and components. Prepare project documentation and meet with customers to review requirements. Design controls and protection systems for generators, motors, and related equipment. Specify and requisition components and services. Create and manage bill of materials (BOMs). Provide technical support to manufacturing and sales teams. Manage assigned tasks independently to meet cost, quality, and delivery expectations. Work as part of a global project team, maintaining schedules, attending meetings, and ensuring seamless execution. Assist in product testing and evaluation as required. Stay up to date with technology advancements and industry standards. Contribute to the development of procedures, design guides, and instruction manuals. Flexible and adaptable to meet business demands. Education & Experience Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline, with 4 years of relevant experience. Lower academic qualifications may be considered with extensive hands-on experience in design, testing, or commissioning roles. Product development experience with a strong technical foundation and knowledge of current engineering design practices. Experience in ePlan, AutoCAD, or similar design tools is advantageous. Knowledge of electrical installation standards, industrial controls, MCCs, and switchboards is a plus. Why Join Us?
