Join us as a Financial Crime Internal Auditor VP at Barclays where you will play a pivotal role in providing independent assurance over the effectiveness of controls to mitigate financial crime risk across the different businesses. You will be part of our global Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) team, working with the first and second lines of defence within financial crime and fraud. You will work collaboratively with others across BIA, while developing strong client relationships which are independent and will be seen as a respected voice.
Key skills required for this role include:
* Experience in Internal Audit or similar (controls assurance or compliance) along with an interest in Financial crime.
* Or experience in Financial Crime with knowledge of the Internal Audit process.
* Stakeholder management skills and an ability to deal with challenging stakeholders.
* Project management experience.
* Practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Financial Services experience.

Purpose of the role
To support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and complying with policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
* Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management.
* Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments.
* Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements.
* Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers and directors.
* Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice.
