Job Purpose: Silver Link is Doncaster’s first Ageing Well Centre. This role will provide support to the vulnerable when needed but will also empower people to take Ageing Well into their own hands. You will be responsible for coordinating the Silver Link Team and managing all aspects of safety and resource within the Centre as well as enhancing and expanding the range of offers to ensure the engagement of new and existing clients. Some of your work will be delivering activities and you will support wider community-based activity, particularly Circles and that which supports ageing well through social interactions and connections. You will be someone who enjoys forging positive relationship with clients, colleagues and volunteers alike and with the ability to motivate your own team. Main Duties To engage new and existing clients with Silver Link by promoting the Centre and Ageing Well activities widely. To plan and develop session activities to create meaningful session plans. To collaborate with clients, key partners and colleagues with input from the Community Development Manager, in the development and implementation of a range of activities offered as part of our Ageing Well programme and wider Ageing Well work throughout Doncaster To organise sufficient staffing levels for the day-to-day activities for the Silver Link Centre, including delivering activities where required. To manage the Silver Link Centre resources and building maintenance. Ensure accurate and up to date records are maintained for staff, volunteers and individuals accessing our Ageing Well Activities at Silver Link Centre. To deal with incidents, safeguarding issues, compliments and complaints in accordance with AUKD policies and procedures. To work within community projects providing project support and increasing participant numbers to reach agreed targets. To utilise the organisations social media presence to promote services and projects positively and engage with potential client base. To achieve and report on agreed Key Performance Indicators and targets as required. To provide day to day support and guidance as well as effective supervision and team meetings for the Silver Link Centre Team. To contribute to the wider life of the charity in line with its vision, mission and values. Any other reasonable duties which may from time to time be required in line with the job purpose. Hours of work: 35 hours per week. Approximately three days per week will be spent with a focus on the Silver Link Centre and approximately two days per week focus on supporting Circles and other community projects. Flexibility will be required as some evening and weekend work will be necessary.
