Job Title: Site Manager Location: Derbyshire Salary: Circa £26 per hour Benefits Job Description: My client seeks an experienced and qualified Site Manager to oversee multiple sites and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in all operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pipefitting or mechanical engineering and proven experience managing teams and projects to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with clients and report progress to senior management. Attend internal and external project meetings as the company representative, reporting progress, actions, or escalations to senior management. Supervise construction and fabrication activities. Attend design and commissioning meetings to ensure assembly aligns with drawings. Monitor project costs and progress. Conduct quality and safety inspections. Prepare site reports and diaries. Ensure correct receipt and storage of goods, escalating any discrepancies. Maintain quality control checks and oversee the workforce. Resolve day-to-day problems and issues promptly. Use computer systems and maintain contract files. Manage documentation, including Temporary Works Registers, CPP, and PMP. Deliver toolbox talks and actively encourage safety observations on-site. Required Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role. Must be able to travel to the UK to site Mechanical or engineering background is essential. Strong knowledge of pipefitting or mechanical engineering principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build effective relationships. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Proficient in using computer systems and maintaining project documentation. Desirable Skills: Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001. Experience with CE Marking and Achilles UVBD Silver Plus accreditation. Commercial awareness and understanding of health and safety legislation. Benefits Package: Circa £26 per hour, time and a half paid for hours exceeding 7.5 per day. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Paid travel time at a basic hourly rate. Company vehicle provided.
