Senior Civil Engineer Location: Manchester Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (dependent on experience) An established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in central Manchester is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their civils team of four. You’ll be working on a diverse range of projects across the residential, commercial, leisure, education, and healthcare sectors, with project values ranging from £100,000 to £100 million. The role will involve an even split between highways and drainage design and offers the opportunity to lead and manage a varied project portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Undertake relevant analysis and produce design calculations, drawings, and technical reports. Support fellow engineers with project delivery from inception to completion. Contribute to development and infrastructure master-planning, utilising your knowledge of the Highways Act 1980, Water Industry Act 1991, Land Drainage Act, New Roads and Street Works Act, and other relevant legislation. Deliver high-quality designs for feasibility, costing, and construction purposes, covering highways and drainage, street works, public realm schemes, SuDS, building drainage, and utility coordination/diversion where required. Maintain financial control of projects in your capacity as Project Manager.
