Nursery: Bright Horizons Southborough Woodlands Preschool
We are looking for a full-time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Southborough Woodlands Preschool, situated in Southborough close to Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells town centers, with good transport links.
The Preschool offers a 66 place setting that caters for children aged 2 to 5 years. The Preschool is situated on the edge of Southborough Woods next to St Peters Church with ample parking. The Preschool is an old school house with three large rooms and a beautiful spacious garden. The team has a collective Early Years Experience of over 100 years and is rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

What you’ll be doing
1. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
2. Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
3. Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
4. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
5. Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding
6. Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment
What we’re looking for
1. Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
2. Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar
3. Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
4. Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
5. Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
6. Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
