We are looking for an Expert Motor Design Engineer to join a specialist Automotive eMotor/traction inverter team in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
Our client designs, develops, and tests tailor-made, highly efficient compact electric powertrains, drives, machines, and inverters for traction applications primarily in the automotive sector.
The Ideal Candidate
We need an electromagnetic engineer who can jump straight into the team and work fairly autonomously. Ideally, you will have extensive experience in product delivery processes and in-depth knowledge of electric motor technology and electrical theory.
You will have experience in the design of radial and axial flux automotive traction machines which includes:
1. Permanent magnet synchronous motors
2. Induction motors
3. Wound-field synchronous motors
4. Switched reluctance motors
You will have excellent knowledge in at least one of the following electromagnetic 2D/3D FEA simulation software packages:
1. JMAG
2. Opera
3. Flux
4. ANSYS Maxwell
5. MotorCAD
6. FEMM
You are an expert in the field of electromagnetic design/electric machine/electric motor design and you have successfully delivered mass-produced electric motors in the past. You possess strong social skills and in-depth knowledge of electric motor technology and electrical theory.
