We are currently looking to recruit a Logistics Manager to join our busy on-site team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Duties Include:
* Oversee daily operations ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Sponsor logistic excellence principles in all operations.
* Analyse and improve logistics processes, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and streamline operations.
* Demonstrate a commitment to health and safety by embedding the Watkins safety culture across all levels.
* Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, particularly in relation to hazardous material handling and transportation requirements.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, ensuring high performance, engagement, and growth.
* Implement and maintain site management systems to enhance operational efficiency.
* Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to streamline processes and improve service.
* Train and mentor staff on operational procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
* Control all site-based laborers and manage workloads on a daily basis, including deliveries and schedules.
* Book all deliveries on a weekly basis via office logistics.
* Attend weekly logistics meetings and maintain a good understanding of health and safety protocols.
* Attend weekly HSE meetings with supervisors.
