Job Duties:
1. Assist the nursery teachers in daily activities and routines
2. Support and supervise children during playtime and learning activities
3. Help maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children
4. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
5. Assist in planning and implementing educational projects and activities
6. Support children in their social, emotional, and physical development
7. Contribute to record-keeping and administrative tasks as required
Required Qualifications:
1. GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
2. Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3)
3. Current DBS check or willing to apply for one
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
1. Experience working with children in a nursery setting
2. Knowledge of early years education and development
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Patience and empathy when dealing with children
5. Organisational skills and ability to multitask
6. Creativity in designing and implementing activities
7. Problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
8. Teamworking skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
1. First Aid certification
2. Safeguarding training
Working Conditions:
1. Permanent position with Full-Time hours
2. Hours: 7.45 - 17.30
3. Outdoor nursery setting with children spending up to 80% of their day outside
4. Physical requirements including bending, lifting, and kneeling
5. Fast-paced and dynamic work environment
