Fluor is growing Fluor is seeking a Transportation Administrative Officer to support Base Operations at our Harrogate site. The selected applicant will be responsible for assisting with the household effects and other transportation for various Base personnel and cargo worldwide while following the proper regulations and procedures. They will be responsible for all documentation necessary for the proper disposition of Household Goods & Unaccompanied Baggage for various entitled personnel. The selected applicant should have knowledge of UK Customs criteria and will receive full training to fulfill the role of US Customs Border Clearance Agent.Manage the movement of personal property of various personnel in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations and including, but not limited to the following. Counsel various personnel on entitlement and restrictions when transporting belongings from/to Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Liaise with UK Agents when necessary to support smooth passage of personal belongings. Responsible for tracking the location of shipments when necessary. Maintain all record keeping systems and ensure they are all kept up to date. Carry out the roles and responsibilities of US Customs Border Clearance Agent as it pertains to cargo and personal property. Support/advise colleagues as directed, including liaising with carriers, customers and local agents. Perform one on one US Customs briefings to provide an in-depth explanation to various personnel of their responsibilities to promote adherence to US Customs compliance preventing confiscation/fines/contamination. Carry out off site US Customs inspections within a 2-hour radius of site. Responsible for completing US Customs documentation accurately and provide to relevant UK shipping agent, prior to shipment being exported. Maintain records for US Customs activities and schedule briefings/inspections Conduct US Customs presentations at site wide events. Candidate will utilize, maintain and control records of accountability for the Direct Procurement Method shipping contract. Ensure services that have been provided are meeting the requirements of the contract. Maintain budget requirements stated within the contract. Responsible for creating/issuing a Government Motor Vehicle Operators card to relevant drivers, authorizing the use of Government Owned Vehicles. Produce and input monthly statistical reports. Other Job Requirements •Candidate will be expected to cross-support all operations within the Transportation Management Office as required. •Responsible to complete all Mandatory training and adhere to all Health & Safety/Security protocols. •Manage occasional small cargo shipping requirements. •Full UK Driver’s License required. •Excellent computer application skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). •Good written and verbal communication skills.
