A high-profile opportunity working with this highly-regarded Cambridge organisation. This key role will lead a small team of procurement professionals to develop and embed category plans across a broad range of FM spend. With high levels of senior engagement, this role will drive best practice across senior stakeholders and key strategic suppliers to ensure a joined-up approach across the business. This highly visible role will also take ownership for high value tendering activities, securing buy-in from key internal stakeholders where necessary.
Key areas of focus will include:
1. Supporting the development of the procurement strategy;
2. Managing the Source to Contract system;
3. Overseeing the preparation of tender documentation;
4. Management of negotiations with preferred suppliers;
5. Driving supplier engagement and management.
To succeed in this role, demonstrable experience in managing FM spend in a complex working environment is required. You will have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, be self-motivated and positive in your approach to work. You will be adept at managing a range of complex procurement projects and managing strategic supplier relationships. With a need to be in the office 2 days per week, this role will work as part of a high-performing and progressive procurement team.
