About the Role:We are seeking to appoint a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a new and motivated team to deliver high and consistent standards of care and support in our new 3 bed home for children with learning disabilities (LD) in Newent, Gloucestershire.
NOTE: There is a further opportunity to apply for an upcoming role in our new home opening in Longford, Gloucester, GL2. This is a home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Applicants will be considered who wish to start at our Newent home and move across to Longford upon opening.
You will be responsible for working as part of a team reporting directly to the Registered Manager of the home. You will Lead shifts and supervise a team of Support Workers as well as providing mentoring. The successful candidate will assist the Manager in providing support, understanding, and nurturing, and to provide a positive role model for the children placed in our care. You will work to a 3-week rolling rota, including weekends and sleep in shiftsto include 60 contracted sleep-ins per year, to provide consistency and ease of predictability in your shift patterns.
