Engineering Operations Manager - Leicester Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 Bonus: Up to 10% Pension Scheme: 7% contribution BUPA: Family coverage available Holiday: 25 days bank holidays Location: Fully onsite, 5 days a week in Leicester KO2's client, a leading engineering business specializing in complex automation systems, is seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to join their team. This business, part of a large group of companies with a global presence, offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic and diverse team in a small company environment, with the backing of a corporate powerhouse. As the Engineering Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a production staff of 17, as well as managing purchasing, logistics, customer service, and quality teams. You will be deeply involved in operational finance reviews, working alongside the finance teams, and driving key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvements across the business. Your role will include managing 5 direct reports and a wider team of 23, ensuring production is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and health and safety standards. You'll be expected to oversee all operational aspects of the business, ensuring effective resource management and smooth production processes, with the flexibility to "roll your sleeves up" when needed to get the job done - whether that means troubleshooting equipment or packing orders. Key Responsibilities: Manage production and operational teams, ensuring efficient production schedules and resource allocation. Collaborate with the finance team on operational costs, budgeting, and achieving financial targets. Ensure production is delivered in a quality, health, and safety compliant manner. Work alongside global teams, including finance in Mexico, accounts payable in Bulgaria, and the USA office, to ensure operational excellence. Drive continuous improvements and operational efficiencies.
