We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Officer to join our wonderful friendly team at our residential North West services in Accrington, Great Harwood Oswaldtwistle & Rishton to provide maintenance and upkeep of the buildings including painting and decorating, repairs to fixtures, fittings and furniture, routine testing of the security, fire detection and water management and equipment.
The 4 houses are specialist residential care homes offering slow stream community-based rehabilitation for adults with a diagnosed mental health condition. Some of our residents stay with us long-term whilst others are with us for a short period before moving on to more independent living.
What you'll be working:
* Full time hours - 37.5 hours per week.
* £28.080 per annum.
* Long days including evenings and weekends.
* Mon - Fri
* 9am - 5pm
* On call and reactive maintenance cover overnight and weekend.
What you'll be doing:
* General maintenance and upkeep of the buildings
* Maintenance of pathways including cleaning and snow and ice clearance and prevention operations
* The recording of all data associated with Estates Operations manual
* Maintenance of all grounds and lawns using the plant and equipment supplied and the care and maintenance of all specialist Estates equipment including PPE.
* Stock and storage of all equipment and maintenance and cleanliness of all storage areas.
* Monitoring of gas and electricity systems, water systems and sewage systems.
* Safety inspections on electrical equipment and maintaining inventory records.
* Cleaning and general maintenance of the centre’s vehicle
What you'll have:
* A full Driving Licence
* Experience in care homes / managing PPM books desirable.
* Previous experience within a maintenance position
* A friendly and helpful approach
* Ability to work with the team or on own dependant on tasks
