We are looking for a Financial Risk Manager to lead the analysis of financial risks across the business, ensuring a robust understanding that will support key decisions, especially around capital management. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams across our CFO office, Financial Risk, and wider business, playing a pivotal role in shaping and managing our risk mitigation strategies.
What you'll be doing:
* Lead the development and maintenance of stress testing tools, translating risk events into financial impact on profit and loss statements and balance sheets (IFRS17 and Solvency II).
* Ensure governance and control frameworks for these tools, maintaining documentation and adhering to model governance standards.
* Produce stress tests that inform key decisions, including half-year and year-end Combination Stress scenarios and reverse stress tests.
* Manage capital management scenario analysis for full-year and half-year reporting.
* Support reinsurance purchasing analysis and develop contingent management action strategies.
* Lead regulatory stress testing exercises such as the General Insurance Dynamic Stress Test and Climate Biennial Exploratory Scenario.
* Provide insight into the Group’s solvency position through financial analysis, supporting decision-making at all levels.
What We're Looking For:
* You'll be a qualified actuary with deep Solvency II and insurance accounting knowledge.
* A strong understanding of risk profiles in retail insurance companies, with a grasp of financial dynamics and market context.
* Expertise in Excel with the ability to build and control complex financial models.
* Experience in leading, influencing, and collaborating with senior stakeholders in multi-disciplinary teams.
* Expertise in project management, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
