Sustainability Advisor / Sustainability Coordinator - Construction / Building - Northamptonshire + Hybrid / Remote

Opportunity for a permanent Sustainability Coordinator / Sustainability Consultant to join one of the UK's most successful Tier 1 building & civil engineering main contractors, with a very stable and fast growing forward order book.

Role:
As Sustainability Advisor your duties will include:
* Measuring and recording the company operational carbon footprint - Scopes 1,2,3
* Coordinating the businesses Green Supply Chain, operational carbon footprint data - Scopes 1,2,3
* Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting / Energy Saving Opportunity Support data collection
* Coordinating operational reporting requirements and reviewing actions needed for year ahead
* Ensuring carbon factors are up to date in line with DEFRA/ BEIS
* Assisting with development of operational reporting processes
* Liaising with internal teams during data collection process and analysing data
* Liaising with external suppliers to capture relevant data and analyse
* Liaising with the supply chain to collect the company's scope 3 GHG emissions
* Understanding GHG protocol and working within the guidelines
* Ensuring reviewing and keeping up to date with the latest published data and guidelines from BEIS / Government / other relevant bodies
* Ensuring the use of appropriate evidence for reporting and to maintain accurate data
* Ensuring data quality for carbon reporting
* Generating innovative ideas to help reduce carbon emissions in the industry
* Liaising with other departments to improve the collection, input and reporting of Sustainability and Net Zero data
* Supporting the businesses target to achieve its carbon-zero targets by 2025
* Staying up to date with new technology, innovations and best practice in the industry to acceleration the businesses sustainability journey
* Delivering Sustainability inductions to new starters
* General Sustainability / NZ / ESG support
* Acting as a Sustainability / NZ champion within the business
Location:
Role is a mix of Northampton office, site visits and remote work, must be flexible to travel.
Requirements:
* Previous work in a Sustainability Advisor / Coordinator / Sustainability Consultant or similar role.
* Genuine passion for sustainability.
* Understanding of the principles of Sustainability and Net Zero
* Understanding of Net Zero frameworks
* Understand GHG emission reporting - Scope 1,2 & 3
* Excel level 3 required
* Analytical skills required / understanding of creating formulas
* Workload prioritising to meet deadlines
* Data / statistical analysis / reporting
