We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Hollesley Bay, a category D Prison and Young Offenders Institution near Woodbridge in Suffolk.
In this role, you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
The working hours are:
Monday - Friday: 08:15 - 16:15
Saturdays (1 in 4): 07:00 - 15:00
This position is full time, and you'll receive an annual salary up to £27,195 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Support the supply, preparation, and assembly of medicines under the direction of the Responsible Pharmacist
* Contribute to services such as medicines reconciliation, managing stock medicines, and safe transportation of medicines
* Provide support to a safe and secure medicines administration service whilst following policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures

Qualifications & Experience required
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
* Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
