Overview This Hove based insurance business is growing rapidly.The Business Development Executive is responsible for prospecting and generating new sales leads.They have a very supportive culture and provide thoroughtrainingfor all new joiners. The role Prospect existing customer base to source opportunities. Create and develop own portfolio of clients, managing the relationships effectively to ensure the retention and growth of the portfolio. Create introductions for appropriate Business Partner and capture all information on CRM. Investigate and research prospects updating the data held in CRM, identifying key decision makers and the business profile. Obtain and confirm prospects renewal dates. Cross selling and upselling of products and services meeting monthly and annual targets. Build and maintain solid relationships with existing customer base. Updating CRM at all customer touchpoints to ensure valid MI can be taken out of the system and supports SLAs and KPIs. Delivering excellent customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from customers and partners. Knowledge & Experience: Experience of building a Customer Canvas Excellent commercial awareness and ability to Find The Need with a Customer. Knowledge of products in any of the following sectors;nergy, Telecoms, IT, Employee Benefits, Recruitment & Consultancy, Business Supplies, Health Protection, Wealth Management & Finance and Risk Management. Proven experience in managing relationships with customers and key stakeholders. Ideally you'll have knowledge of the Care sector and its nuances. Skills: Articulate and presentable with the ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Very strong active listening skills and able to ask open questions to acquire relevant information Ability to work under pressure. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills. Capable of working on own initiative and managing own workload effectively Intermediate proficiency Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Salary and benefits Up to £28k-£32k FTE per annum for full time hours (pro-rated for part-time hours). Salary dependent on experience. 28 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays) per year Rising to 33 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays) after two years service.
