About Our Client
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to drive our People Services agenda. This pivotal role will lead on the Staff Well-being Strategy, manage job evaluation processes, champion employee learning and development, and oversee People Service metrics and data analysis. The role is 5 days on-site and you will be leading the ER, Recruitment and Learning and Development Teams.
Job Description
* Assist the Director of People Services in implementing the People Strategy.
* Lead the development and delivery of management training programmes on people management, policies, and practices.
* Represent and advocate for the People Services Division, deputising for the Director as required.
* Ensure accurate and timely preparation, monitoring, and reporting of HR data.
* Establish key performance indicators and reporting mechanisms that inform strategic improvements and future trends.
* Lead the job evaluation scheme, ensuring fairness and consistency, and chair the Job Evaluation Committee/Panel.
* Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and on-board top talent in collaboration with the Marketing Team and Recruitment Agencies.
* Co-develop a comprehensive Well-being Strategy, including mental health initiatives, in partnership with key stakeholders.
* Collaborate on a Learning and Development Strategy that supports employee retention and maximises the use of the apprenticeship levy.
* Ensure adherence to legislative changes, safeguarding, health and safety regulations, and data protection standards.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement innovative systems and processes across the People Services functions.
* Undertake specific projects as directed by the Director of People Services.
The Successful Applicant
* Previously managed a team.
* CIPD Level 7 is desired.
* Ideal background Public Sector and Not for Profit.
* Strong experience in ER, recruitment, talent development and learning.
