Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen on the Renal Units at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for a healthcare assistant to join our friendly and dynamic nursing team. The Renal Unit is a busy outpatient area for patients with kidney failure. Patients come in for treatment at least three times a week for 4 hours treatment on a dialysis machine. We are looking for people who are caring and compassionate and who have strong communication and observation skills, to deliver excellent patient-focused care in a challenging fast paced environment. This job is currently a Band 2 but has been rebanded as a Band 3 post pending final approval. Main duties of the job You will assist staff in the preparation of the dialysis areas and in the disposal of dialysis consumables and waste. You will be working in a stimulating and supportive working environment with opportunities for further learning and development. Keeping the unit as clean as possible.
