The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
* Proactive recruitment and interviewing of technical candidates and appraising their suitability.
* Business development with clients including working to a strategic business plan.
* Assisting Senior Management with Professional Service Frameworks and contracts.
* Colleague management and support including mentoring, annual colleague progression reviews, planning training and career development.
* Attending networking events, socials and CPD seminars.
* Progressing your technical career on a secondment with a public or private sector client.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in civil or structural engineering, traffic engineering or transport planning, or related discipline.
* Experience in a public sector organisation or consultancy environment.
* Capacity for learning business development, recruiting and commercial skills.
* Knowledge of local marketplace for technical professionals.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* A positive outlook and enthusiastic attitude.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Experience in, or aptitude for people management.
* Ambition to develop management skills and a quick learner.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Degree or HNC level qualification or have equivalent UK experience.
* Membership of a relevant professional Institution.
