Senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer
Location: Gillingham
About the Role: Join our Electronics Hardware Engineering team as a Senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer, where you'll develop Electronic Control Unit (ECU) products for current and future zero-emission propulsion systems. You'll work in a high-volume manufacturing context, focusing on high quality and harsh environments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Design electronics for ECUs, ensuring customer and internal requirements are met.
* Develop schematics, Bill of Materials (BOM), technical documentation, and worst-case analysis.
* Maintain Electrical DFMEA and apply engineering standards (BOD, BOP) to execute projects.
* Provide technical support to PCB ECAD teams and release design docs in the PHINIA system.
* Assist Validation teams during Design and Process Validation phases, and prepare technical reports and presentations.
* Ensure designs meet cost, manufacturability, and EOL recycling targets, while adhering to project objectives (cost, quality, timing).
* Identify and escalate risks/issues, applying problem-solving methodologies as needed.
What We Are Looking For:
* A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Experience in automotive electronics hardware is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with Functional Safety ISO26262, FMEDA, and Electrical DFMEA.
* Proficient in MS Office, CAD programs (XPedition Enterprises preferred), and simulation tools.
* Fluency in English, with German and/or French a plus.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
