About the role:

This is a fixed-term 12-month maternity cover position.
Your key responsibilities as the Registered Manager:
You will have full autonomy of your home, overseeing daily operations to enable young people to thrive. You will inspire and lead your team to manage a warm, safe, and supportive environment, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and maintaining high standards of care and quality. Responsibilities include organizing work patterns, facilitating training, and accessing appropriate services to support childcare practices.
You will lead and develop your team, fostering a positive workplace culture where colleagues feel valued. You will design, implement, and monitor care and education plans tailored to individual needs, promoting key life and independent skills.
The successful candidate will have:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare)
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted-rated 'Good' or above home
* Experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviors, including mental health issues
* Full UK Driving License
* Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, including The Children’s Homes England Regulations, Quality Standards, the Children’s Act, and other relevant laws
* Additional £5, bonus based on Quality and Commercial Performance
