WREF is the global team that is responsible for the full lifecycle of planning, execution and operations of GSK’s real estate portfolio. This includes defining the organisation’s real estate and workplace experience strategy across our network of over 250 manufacturing, R&D and office facilities; as well as leveraging our network of vendor partners to ensure delivery facility management and capital project services to GSK’s global office portfolio. The team is set up in a matrixed operating model where a Centre of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for service strategy and process ownership, and Regional teams are responsible for executing WREF’s services.
Reporting to the Cluster Director - UK, the Group Site Manager, UK is primarily responsible for overseeing workplace operations at GSK’s Global HQ, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional workplace experience to our employees. This role will manage the delivery of workplace services while fostering a positive and productive work environment aligned with business objectives. The role will have additional accountability for multiple smaller office sites within the UK Cluster.
Key Responsibilities
* Build positive stakeholder relationships to ensure WREF’s workplace services are aligned to business needs.
* Oversee the delivery of all workplace services at the nominated site location(s), balancing exceptional customer service delivery with effective building operations management to create an optimal workplace environment for GSK employees and visitors.
* Coordinate and supervise a team of service partners and vendors to deliver workplace services at the site location(s), ensuring cost, quality, compliance and performance metrics are achieved by key contract partners.
* Prepare, manage and report against annual operating and capital budgets for the site location(s), ensuring accuracy of financial data
* Analyse data, generate insights, develop and implement action plans to ensure the workplace services at the site location(s) are continually improving and meeting the needs of GSK employees and visitors.
* Drive implementation of workplace initiatives and best practices to meet business objectives and enhance the employee and visitor experience.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Facilities or Hospitality related discipline or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, or hospitality, including experience in a leadership role.
* Strong understanding of both workplace experience best practices and technical facilities management principles, coupled with experience with facilities management systems, workplace management tools, and data analysis platforms.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of an organisation.
* Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and requirements.
* Ability to deal with a variety of complex issues concurrently.
* Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision.
