We are accepting managers who are not registered.
Are you looking to make a difference in a child's life, provide positive experiences, and act as a role model for future generations? Are you patient, understanding, and prepared to support and care for vulnerable children with learning difficulties?
Our Home has been judged as GOOD by Ofsted and we are actively working towards an OUTSTANDING rating.
This is a role with challenge, growth, and purpose at its heart. It’s a role that inspires others and brings your creative mind to life.
We are an ambitious and passionate team looking to grow within the area. As a result, a unique position has been created for a Home Manager to oversee our current homes with a strong team in support.
Our home is a unique 3-bedroom children's home in Cornwall, supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs. We are dedicated to making them feel safe, not just in their homes but also in the surrounding areas.
We currently support two young men aged 13 and 17 who need inspiring and confident team members to help them enjoy a high quality of life, access education, and have fun.
Responsibilities:
* Reporting to our Registered Manager, you will be supported by Deputy Managers and Senior Support Workers, taking accountability for all operational aspects of the home, especially the culture of the home and ensuring that our young people flourish.
* Focusing on areas such as quality management, rota planning, retention, budget, training, and mentoring will be part of the role. You will be responsible for the safety of all, and you’ll motivate your team with ideas that keep the people we support engaged, fulfilled, and happy. The sense of fun you’ll bring helps make things happen.
* You will receive regular supervisions, appraisals, and your very own development plan within the organisation. You will have opportunities to meet regularly with directors and managers both formally and informally, ensuring you have sufficient support networks from within the organisation.
